Food Rules, Rule Number Six

This rule is easy if you stick to whole raw food, but hard with anything else. Most prepared foods have more than five ingredients. Some of these rules are more about the spirit of the thing than getting it right every time.

Perhaps use this rule as an either/or. If you have a choice between two things, and if one has twenty ingredients and the other has ten, go for the one with less, assuming the nutritional information is otherwise equal.

Here’s the thing; each of these rules is based on varying degrees of science and Mother wit. And if you want to use them in real life, you’ve got to be able to do so with a minimum of fussing and stress.

Pray: God, help me to make good choices, especially when I’m in a hurry. Amen.
